This Privacy Policy was crafted by TechnoKids Ph (the “Corporation”) to govern the processing, collection, disclosure, and protection of personal data in relation to the implementation of its online facility, the Division Assessment Portal (“Application”). The processes and procedures contained in the Policy are in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC), and other relevant laws of the Philippines. This policy embodies the commitment of the corporation in protecting the personal data of the persons who shall be using the Application.
The Division Assessment Portal (“Application”) is an online facility exclusively designed for Schools Division Office (“SDO”) Paranaque to evaluate and assess students’ academic status and performance. The Application can be accessed via website sdo- paranaque.technokids.com.ph or through mobile. The expected users of the Application are the students and teachers at the schools under the supervision of the SDO Paranaque (“Users”).
The Users shall not be forced to disclose any personal or sensitive information; however, are suggested to refrain from using the Application if they are not amenable to the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy.
The information collected and complied, has obtained the requisite consent from the Users (if the Users are of legal age) and from the parents/legal guardians of the Users (if the Users are minors), if they are under 18 years of age, and receive consent from their parent/legal guardian as required for the processing of information and using the Application as required under applicable laws. Hence, any information containing personal data relating to minors that were provided are presumed to have been given with the consent of the minor's parent / legal guardian. Such consent is deemed to be provided by registration in the Application. The consent taken includes the right to collect, store, and disseminate the Information. Parents or legal guardian who have concerns in relation to their consent or with any information provided, they may directly contact the Data Protection Officer at [email protected].The Corporation through SDO Paranaque collects information from the Users for the creation of the account and passwords to access the Application. Likewise, during the course of the User’s usage of the Application, the Corporation collects information as part of the voluntary registration process, access to any online survey or interaction on the Application, or a combination thereof. The information to be collected is necessary to access the Application. The Information are collected through and stored in electronic and physical forms.
The information being collected includes but not limited to the following:All information collected and stored by the Application shall be used solely for: (1) Providing information for account creation and access of the Application; (2) Identifying academic performance based on students’ grades and determination of students who are at risk of failing any academic subjects; and (3) Generating of relevant reports in relation to academic evaluation of the particular schools under the supervision of the SDO Paranaque for reference of the stakeholders in planning and designing its intervention.
The Corporation shall employ the required technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data of its users.
The Corporation may need to make certain disclosures to third parties from time to time, such as when it is necessary for the proper execution of processes related to the above-mentioned declared purpose, or the use or disclosure is reasonably necessary, required or authorized by or under law.
The Corporation shall ensure that there will be no marketing ads displayed during Users’ access of the Application. Also, there will be no links which prompt the Users to other websites or applications.The Corporation endeavors to require adherence by said third parties to similar or comparable data protection standards required by the law. The Corporation shall employ best efforts to protect the information against any unauthorized, illegal, and fraudulent use of such information by third parties. Only authorized personnel have access to the collected information, the exchange of which will be facilitated through email and hard copy. They will be stored in a database for two (2) years from the relevant school year, after which physical records shall be disposed of through shredding, while digital files shall be anonymized.
All Users of the Application have the right to ask for a copy of any information the Corporation collected from them, as well as to ask for it to be corrected if they think it is wrong. They may also request the exercise of their data privacy rights under the DPA.
